The nearest airports are Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO) and Mexico City International Airport (MEX).
Located 30 minutes from downtown Querétaro with limited international flights but good domestic connections. Taxi services available at the airport (approximately 400-500 MXN to downtown). Car rental services also available on-site.
Major international hub with connections worldwide, located 3-4 hours from Querétaro. Primera Plus bus service available directly to Querétaro from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Buses depart approximately every hour from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Journey time: 3-3.5 hours. Cost: 400-500 MXN (approximately $25-30 USD). Tickets can be purchased online at www.primeraplus.com.mx or at the airport.
Most tourists visiting Mexico need to complete a tourist card (FMM - Forma Migratoria Múltiple), but visa requirements vary by country. No visa required: USA, Canada, EU countries, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan (just complete the FMM). Visa required: Check with the Mexican consulate in your country if not listed above. Renting a car is not necessary for our events. We will provide transportation between event venues, and the historic center of Querétaro is very walkable. For exploring areas outside the city, we recommend guided tours or hiring a car service, which we can help arrange.
Querétaro is considered one of the safest cities in Mexico, with a low crime rate compared to other major Mexican cities. The historic center and tourist areas are well-patrolled and safe to explore. As with any travel, we recommend using common sense precautions such as being aware of your surroundings and not displaying expensive items.
